SimplB DIY MultiSig Vault Setup

Secure your Bitcoin with a professionally configured 2-of-3 multisignature Vault that you run independently.
You hold all three keys and you control every signing device, backup, and storage decision.
This is a setup and training engagement, not an ongoing managed custody service.

What’s included

• 3 hardware signing devices: multi manufacturer devices configured as your three keys for a 2-of-3 multisig Vault.
• Steel backup plates: durable fire and water resistant backups for your recovery information.
• Guided setup session: up to two four hour remote or in person sessions to configure the Vault, verify addresses, and confirm signing works end to end.
• Initial transaction support: help with receiving, creating, and signing your first transaction correctly.
• Recovery and operating guide: practical instructions for device loss, backup recovery, and inheritance readiness.

How the DIY Vault works

• 2-of-3 security: any spend requires two signatures.
• You hold all keys: SimplB does not retain a key and cannot co-sign transactions.
• Resilience by design: if one device is lost or fails, you can still spend using the remaining two devices, and you can rotate keys using your backups.

What you need to run it

• A full node is required to operate a multisig Vault.
• A computer and internet connection to view balances and create transactions using specialised open source wallet software.
• Good key management discipline, including separate storage locations and clear access rules.
• A basic plan for emergencies, travel, and inheritance.

Important notes

With a DIY Vault, you are responsible for your own key custody, backup storage, maintenance, and recovery processes.
SimplB provides setup guidance and education, but we cannot take liability for a self managed implementation or for decisions around storage locations and access control.

Prefer a Managed Vault instead?

If you would rather keep two keys and have SimplB safeguard the third key as a non custodial co-signer under an ongoing management fee, choose the Managed MultiSig Vault option.

Delivery and policies

Vaults are usually delivered as part of a personal engagement. If an installation timeline has not been pre arranged, lead times can be up to a month to secure hardware stock and schedule your setup session. We limit installs per technician because the process has no margin for error.

No refunds are issued on devices purchased and shipped to your address, due to the nature of Bitcoin security.
